                                              WOMEN’S CLUB OF PITTSFORD
“WOMAN OF THE YEAR” AWARD 2024-2025

It’s my pleasure to be presenting the Woman of the Year for 2025.
This member has been in WCOP since 2015. She worked on Coats for Kids, Erie Canal Clean Sweep, the PAD project, Autism Up, Strollin’ for the Colon, Cameron Community Ministries, Pittsford Halloween Fest, Bethlehem Family Ministries and countless more. She has been instrumental as chairman of the “Rejuvenation of the Daffodil Meadow” in Powder Mills Park, where 1500 + bulbs were planted. This project won 1st Place with GFWC NY Community Improvement Project, 2024.
A little background: she was born in Hawaii, lived in Albany during her formative years and currently lives in
Pittsford. She met Mark Amico during a Regatta in which they both sailed-just not together. They married in 1998, and have two children. Rachel is currently in Grad school at St. John Fisher and Nicholas just graduated from RIT.
She likes golf (in good weather) and sailing, and is a hardworking R.N. at Strong Hospital, on the Gastroenterology unit. It was due to her work that she got involved with Strollin’ for the Colon.  Strollin’ for the Colon is a local non-profit organization whose mission is to promote awareness and education about proper screening and early detection, to provide support for area patients and families, and to fund critical local research. She has recruited WCOP members to volunteer, but I’m not aware of any of us doing the 5K run or walk!
We have been so fortunate to have her as co-chair of Service for many years, despite working full time!

Your WCOP Woman of the Year; Toni Amico.
