Christmas Toys and Food Distribution, WCOP Volunteer opportunity with the Salvation Army of Greater Rochester:
Christmas Toys and Food Distribution Volunteers serve as Christmas Elves and help families pick out toys and food; Elves also help to organize & replenish tables and shelves with items. Dress festively! Put on those Christmas sweaters, even Elf ears, if you want to! Smile and have fun with it! Comfortable shoes are highly recommended, as well.
Dates: A----December 20, 2016 from 2 pm – 6 pm (sign up for this four hour block); B---December 21, 2016, from 8:30 am – 12:30 PM (four hour block) and/or C---December 21, 2016, from 12:30 PM – 4 PM (3.5 hour block).
Location: Salvation Army Hope House 100 West Avenue Rochester, NY 14611 There is a large parking lot across the street, free parking.
Three ways To Sign up: Use the WCOP website to sign up for the A, B or C shifts you wish to work OR Sign up on the clipboard at the November General WCOP meeting OR Send an email or call Sandy Glantz that gives the shift (A, B, C) that you want to work. The WCOP Service committee will coordinate with the Salvation Army, and we will notify you of who is also working that shift, so you may carpool if desired.
